R Bridge is a Japanese agency whose goal is to make connections with publishers and filmmakers between Hawaii and Japan. They associate themselves with Sincerity, Aloha, and Sustainability. The goal was to revamp their brand identity surrounding these pillars.
Ellemsee Media proposed an identity that would highlight R Bridge’s connection between Japan and the U.S. Natural elements within the environment like rainbows, water, and the ocean was used as inspiration.
The main graphic of the R Bridge Identity is two semi R’s linked together. This represents the connection this organization has between Japan and Hawaii. The colors are loosely based off of a rainbow; simplifying it to maintain recognizability.
Working with traditional Hawaii elements to establish a connection between our home and Japan was a fun and conceptual way to approach the project. Modernizing the look and feel of the branding helped this identity system appear contemporary while maintaining the traditional values of R Bridge.
